Konoha Nation (Leaf ANBU District)

Since there is an increasing interest in ANBU I'll figured I'd make a special thread, characters who are in this thread cannot be active in the main Konoha Nation thread. Basically I just separated the district to make it easier to follow.

When your chars leave the ANBU district you are supposed to post in the Konoha Nation Main thread, this means missions to.

Since there are several areas I would like people to state their location in bold at the top of their post. I'll give an example.

Headquarter 2nd floor

Hikaru handed in the papers he had promised his captain to arrange. It probably wasn't smart to linger here cause the ANBU's where pretty strict on who could enter the offices and who couldn't.

ANBU District

The ANBU District, the place where all non-mission related activities are held. The ANBU district is a very large area in the east of Konoha. The several facilities and buildings are all build in the traditional Chinese style. The main building can be found in the middle.

The ANBU district is divided into several grounds; it also holds all facilities for both ANBU “In” and the regular ANBU. Within the district no member has to wear his or her mask since it’s only allowed for ANBU or special shinobi -such as one with the sennin status or the Hokage- to enter.

District Layout


Headquarter

The ANBU Headquarter. The place where all captain meetings are held, the missions are given and such. It is also the place to gather in case of emergency. The headquarters consists out of 4 floors and is located in the middle of the district.

Floor 1

The first floor is the place where all regular meetings take place and the missions are handed out. Missions are usually picked up by squad leaders only to minimize the amount of people entering.

Floor 2

The second floor holds the captain offices. The offices are rarely occupied during regular times, however when preparing for meetings captain’s will often occupy them.

Floor 3

The third floor is the floor where captain meetings take place. This place is off limits to anyone other then the captain’s or vice captains of the branch divisions.

Floor 4

The 4th floor holds the supreme captain’s offices. The supreme captains are the one’s who are in charge of the entire ANBU divisions, there are 3 in total.

ANBU Academy

The ANBU academy is the place where new members are taught all there is to ANBU, it’s located against the foot of the mountain. The academy teachers vary from time to time and even captains can be found teaching at times. In ANBUAcademy most shinobi are taught the basic ANBU skills, branch division skills and general ANBU knowledge. Students at the ANBUAcademy have to go through 4 semesters before graduating.

The semesters are as followed.

* Semester 1: During semester 1 shinobi will be taught basic ANBU skills and knowledge. Teachers will also pick out those unfit to become ANBU.
* Semester 2: During semester 2 classes will be split up into branch division classes. For instance members who signed up for ANBU “Neko” will be taught the standard Neko techniques and knowledge.
* Semester3: Semester 3 is actual field work, the ANBU in training will work alongside of real ANBU members on easy missions to get a good feel of the situation, this is also seen as a sort of pre-exam since the real ANBU will be watching their moves carefully and see if they really are fit for the ANBU.
* Semester 4: The last semester, this is the exam for the once who made it. Semester 4 consists out of 5 consecutive missions; a squad will be formed out of students led by one with the qualities of a leader. The group will be judged on team work, precision, success ratio and such. When students make it through the last semester they are often placed in the team they worked with and become full fledged ANBU Members.

During the first two Semesters Jutsu’s will be taught, at the end of the semester these Jutsu’s will be tested to see who can continue to the next semester. After entering semester 2 branch division knowledge, Jutsu’s, styles and such will also be taught. The jutsu’s vary amongst the branch divisions.

* Neko sensu Buji (Neko style martial arts): A form of martial arts that focuses mainly on swift strikes in critical areas without the opponent ever knowing what happened. It uses opponent’s blind spots and the hiding of ones presence.

ANBU General Dojo

The ANBU General dojo is a large complex with many floors and training space for different Taijutsu styles, relaxation methods and much more. The building is slightly smaller then the headquarter. It’s attached to the ANBU academy to make it easier for students to enter.

Floor 1

Floor one is the floor assigned to the academy. During semester two some classes will get branch division Taijutsu taught to them. This floor is used for those lessons, once a person graduates they are allowed to enter floor 2, exceptions are very rare.

Floor 2

The 2nd floor, the floor where several styles of Taijutsu are practised. The floor where regular ANBU members often come to hone their skills and bodies and test themselves against others.

Floor 3

Floor 3 contains the large Zen garden. Shinobi are often found meditating and training their chakra control, usage and such. The Zen garden is a quiet usually a very quiet place to make meditation and such easier.

Floor 4

Floor 4 is located against the side of the mountain Konoha is build against. It’s an open floor so it can be seen as the roof and it contains the hot springs, male and female areas are separated but there is also a mixed area for the ones who don’t care, the mixed area is much larger.

Branch Division’s

Each Branch division has their own assigned area. This is due to the fact that they all need different facilities. Members from other branch groups are allowed to visit other areas.

Neko Area:

The Neko area is located east of the headquarter, it’s the most hidden one of all since it’s underground. It’s more of an underground complex; the area’s surface is covered by trees where Neko members often train their skills in stealth and assassination.

Dojo:

The Dojo of the Neko division is only accessible to members of Neko. Here they refine their Neko sensu buji and practise new moves. The dojo also holds several sleeping quarters for members to stay in during long training sessions.

Forrest Area:

The ground above the Neko base is covered by trees and swamps; it’s the darker side of Konoha where the Neko’s feel at home. They often train against each other in the arts of stealth and assassination (holding back though because they don’t kill each other).

Mortuary:

In the mortuary the corpses of assassinated people are often kept before they go to the Kuma division for investigation. This happens rarely though cause Neko members don’t usually take their targets with them.

Meeting Room:

The meeting room. The Neko meeting room is only used for very special occasions. Big announcements and events are held here.

Captains Office:

The Neko’s captain’s office –despite being one of the smaller more hidden- branch divisions is one of the largest. This is due to the fact that Neko members are often directly taught by their captain and in some cases even have to show the targets they assassinated although like stated earlier this is very rare.

Fukurou Area:

The Fukurou area isn’t as hidden as the Neko one but it’s still somewhat hard to locate. It’s placed on the north west of the headquarters and consists out of low buildings that blend in with the forest scenery. It’s the smallest of all divisions.

Tracking Fields:

The tracking fields are the places where the Fukurou members learn how to track and develop their skills; they often work in pairs of two here and try devising new ways of tracking down others.

Target Practise:

The Fukurou target practise area isn’t as advanced as the Taka one but it does contain more trees which makes it perfect for Fukurou members. They have to train on their stealth at the same time and not giving away their position when attacking.

Dojo:

The Dojo where Fukurou members are taught their respective style of Taijutsu. The dojo is a small building in the midst of the target practise field since the style includes long ranged fighting.

Information Centre:

A large office in the middle of the Fukurou area. It’s here where all information is gathered and spread amongst the members of ANBU. The Fukurou information centre also updates the Hokage on any news that might concern him; it’s an incredible source of information.

Information Library:

A large building attached to the information centre. The Fukurou library contains all previously gathered information. This area is restricted to the Fukurou members and the Hokage only since it contains very valuable information from years back. Th

Taka Area:

The Taka branch division area is located on the west of the headquarters and is most likely the biggest one. The area closely resembles that of the regular Konoha village in terms of building structure and area lay out.

Target Practise:

The target practice area. It’s one of the largest training area’s in ANBU and often used by other divisions for their own target training. Most Taka members gather here to sharpen their senbon skills. The area is hard for even the highest of senbon masters within the ANBU group, dummies, chakra dolls and more moving targets roam the rocky and tree filled area.

Taka Library:

The Taka library has a mix of books about weaponry (mainly senbon), acupuncture and human biology. It also contains a medical section since Taka members are known to have limited medical knowledge.

Clinic:

The place where their acupuncture skills are put to use. At the clinic Taka members will occasionally treat others to acupuncture sessions, this is done to further develop their own skills and helping out others at the same time. It also gives them a slightly better insight medically.

BountyBuilding:

Taka members often go after missing nin’s with bounties on their heads. This is done to increase their skills while at the same time helping out like regular shinobi’s do on well paying missions, this method of training has set an example for more countries. In the bounty room information about the latest developments concerning missning nins can be found. The captains office is located at the second floor, the Taka captain’s office is forbidden to enter for anyone except the vice captain.

Taka Dorm:

The Taka dorm is a large building with sleeping quarters for members even outside of the Taka branch division.

Ookami Area:

The Ookami area is located on the southeast of the headquarters. They often work closely with Neko who occasionally capture instead of assassinate their targets. The Ookami area is a single large building, like Neko they have several underground floors.

Interogation and torture rooms:

The interrogation and torture rooms are located in the underground part of the building to minimize escape possibilities. The rooms are located on the lowest floor and are sound proof.

Cell Blocks:

The cell blocks are the places where the ones being interrogated, tortured or got captured are kept. It’s the 1st underground floor. There are always Ookami ANBU on guard duty in the cell blocks.

Ookami Library:

The Ookami library contains documentations of all previous torture, interrogation and Genjutsu techniques used throughout the ANBU Ookami history. It also contains a great amount of books about the human mind and such.

Kuma Area:

The kuma area is located south of the headquarters and is hidden amongst the trees. This is due to the kuma’s natural connection to the nature, there are several small buildings and fields made available for the members.

Dojo:

The Kuma Dojo is the place where the Kuma sensu buji is taught and mastered. Students and members will often train here with others in their spare time to get their skills up and such. The dojo also has rooms for members who are staying.

Training Grounds:

Several training grounds are made available for the kuma branch division. Unlike the inside dojo the outside training grounds are for jutsu practise, the trees and rivers force the practising shinobi’s to be more accurate with jutsu usage.

Investigation Department:

The kuma investigation department is the largest building in the Kuma branch division. Forensics, evidence investigations and even autopsies take place here.

Captains Office:

The captains office is connected to the dojo. The kuma captain is rarely in but if he is then he is found in the office most of the time.

Kawazu Area:

The Kawazu area is located north of the headquarters. It consists out of several large buildings and glass cases, the Kawazu area is one of the smaller areas given the fact there aren’t as much Kawazu members as there are of the other branch divisions. It’s however one of the most important with advanced medical technology at its disposal. From the area layout it’s easy to say it’s one of the divisions receiving the most funds.

Greenhouse:

The greenhouse is the place herbs are stored and created. It’s much more advanced then the greenhouses in the other countries due to Konoha’s geographic advantage. It hosts some of the rarest species of herbs and flowers used for medicine.

Medical Lab:

The kawazu medical lab is one of the most advanced labs that exist. It’s used to create high quality medicine and investigate unknown diseases, poison’s, infections and such without danger of outbreaks in the village.

Hospital:

The hospital is a branch facility of the Konoha’s main hospital. It receives a great amount of funds to stay up to date in equipment and such. Due to the increasing importance of well trained hospital staff the hospital also regularly holds classes for the Kawazu members of ANBU.

Kawazu Library:

The Kawazu library is a huge archive of all known diseases, poison’s, medical treatments and Jutsu’s that have been passed down through the ranks of ANBu, the hospital and shinobi’s in Konoha. It doesn’t contain self developed healing Jutsu’s though unless people have written them down.

Kawazu Dorms:

The dorm is attached to the hospital and has three floors. The first floor is where recuperating patients are taken who do not have to stay in the hospital but still need to be taken care of. They are often helped by shinobi in training for the Kawazu ANBU. The second floor is where many Kawazu members spend the night during crisis times or late night study sessions since it requires much more knowledge and study then any other branch division. The last floor of the dorm is the captain’s office, it’s the place where the Kawazu captain is found when he isn’t out on a mission.

Otoku strolled into the class room with a dull look on his face. He then sat down in his chair towards the front. He put his feet up on the desk and leaned back. He sighed and said,

"My first assignment as an Elite Jounin, is to teach these anbu wanna be's." Otoku shruggered his shoulders and said,

" Heh whatever. It should be fun." Otoku leaned back in his cair with his eyes closed. There was still about 25 mins before the class started.

Katie walked in shortly afer Otoku. She loked over at him and said,

"Wake out you lazy teacher. How do you except us to learn anything if your half a sleep?" She then walked over to one of the desk and sat down. She then looked over at him a gain and said,

"And I don;t want any special treament just because I'm your sister."

She then waited for the other members of her class to walk in. She was curious to know who else would come.

Kuroi walked in the class with a grin on his face. He walked to the back of th room and sat down. He licked his lips with his snake like tongue and put his head on the desk.

"I hope i get to kill soon," said Kuroi to himself

Ichitoru and Raiyou both walked into the class, Ichitoru with his hands in his pocket, as he sighed once. Raiyou was by his side the entire time, and followed him to a desk, and layed down next to the desk that Ichitoru found.

As soon as he sat down, Ichitoru looked up at the teacher. He was surprised to see whom he was.

"O...Otoku?! YOU'RE the teacher?" He said, with a smirk tone in his voice. He sighed once more, as he soon closed his eyes and layed his head on his right arm.

Well I guess it's to be expected. Considerring his little increase in rank. Oh well, rank doesn't mean much to me. I just have to respect him, that's all. He thought, always wanting to be better than Otoku, although he knew he's better then Otoku in some departments, he also knew that Otoku had him beat in others, and mostly a lot of others.

Otoku had almost dozed off. He then started to wake up alittle as Sakura nd Ichitori waled in. He then said lazily,

"Yep that's right Ichitoru, I'm the teacher." He looked over at Sakura and said

"and don't worry littl sister you very will may not make to second semester. You may not make pass today. So just warch yourself."

Otoku got up put of the chair and started to right o the board. he then said

"Alright while we wait for the straglers to get in I want to you each tell me your names and what branch of Anbu you want to enter, and tell why you wish to join Anbu."

Kizu Nagori, Fukurou, and I simply feel the need to serve Konoha in this way. said a voice came from the door. Kizu entered and smiled at Otoku before finding a seat near Sakura. She wore her usual, combat ready, outfit and sat attentively waiting for instruction.

I wonder what it'll be like being taught by Otoku. I had been planning to join he ANBU, but this'll be a bit strange. Ah well, what's the worst that could happen? she thought fiddling with her glove/arm guard.

Kuroh walked into the room shortly after Kizu. He walked over swinging his tail back and forth. He sat at a desk away from everyone else. He had trouble positioning his tail in the desk. He sat in the desk very quite and looked around at the class. He then looked up at Otoku.

Ichitoru stood up, as he slouched and put his hands in his pants pockets. He sighed once, then openned his eyes and looked at Otoku. He hated to be taught by someone he saw as a rival, but knew he could not complain.

"My name is Ichitoru Inuzaka. You should know me. I would like to enter the Neko branch, mostly because of what the classes can teach you, considerring stealth and patience is my weak point." He said, as the more he spoke, the more serious he started to seem. "The reason I would like to join ANBU is to protect the ones I love and care for, as well as it has always been my dream to someday be a captain of this fine division." He spoke, proudly and boldly.

Soon, he stood up even more straight, and spoke in clear words. He now seemed to be more serious than when he first got there.

Udemae walked into the class, standing straight and having dull eyes. She stopped and took a big smell into the air, judging the chakra levels of everyone in the room.

Everyone's pretty strong here. I think, besides the kid over there, I can consider myself the weakest... She thought, as she openned her eyes and continued walking.

She walked over to Kuroh's desk. She leaned on his desk as her dull face became bright as she smiled largly at Kuroh.

"So...You're here too?" She asked, still with her big smile. "I thought someone like you wouldn't be into this kind of stuff. I mean...dedication, patience, going back in class..." She said sarcastically, as she quietly laughed a little, still leaning on his desk.

Sakura Stood up and said,

'My name is Sakura Mekura. I want to join the Kawaran Branch. I wish to become a medical ninja with skills that far surpasses my mother. I want to use this power to keep those around me alive as long as possible. And to help, take out a certain someone."

Sakura then sat back down in her sit.

Otoku got up out of his sit and said to the people there,

"Yes, yes those are all good. But I think I should tell you, something before we move on. As Vice captain of the Anbu Black Ops, I along with Captain Hayao, will be deciding with branch you are best suited for, based on your performace in this first semester, but I will take in to mind what each of one have said, when it comes time to pick your division."

Otoku then started to walk to the board, his face turned from lazy, to extremely serious. he then said in a stren voice,


"Alright listen up you wanna be's. I am Otoku Mekura, You may call me Otoku-sensei. I am Vice captain of Anbu and will be your intructor a majority of the time. SO get use to looking at this pretty face. The only time I want to hear your vocies or see your mounth move is when i ask you a question. If you absolutly have to speack to your neighbor, you better pray I don't caight you. Some of you know me on a personal level, but when we're in here, you don't know me. The Otoku you now is death when you enter this room........SO Are there any question before we get started?"

"Yeah sure what ever," mumbled Kuroi

He sat there playing with his pencil licking the edges of the sharp kunai knife. He loved blood the snake him loved blood and would not stop until ass his eniemes lay in a pull of blood. The poison in his teeth oozed on the kunai as he kicked it. He grined as he looked up at the teacher.

(Ok people this is an academy ok we should speed things up. I have a lot in plan for those who PASS and become ANBU many missions and plos so lets rp faster)

Kuroh was sitting quietly. He listened to what Otoku said and thought about it.

"Well whatever nothing better to do with my life. Why are you here." He said to Udemae very quitely.

Otoku ran his hand through his hair with a sigh. As he ran his hair through his hair, he sent a senbon needle flying with extreme speed at Kuroh. The needle would hit a oressure point that would render him paralyzed as long as the senbon needle remained. He then said,

"Didn't I just say, that there was to be no talking unless you are spoken to my me? No one touch him."

Otoku then walked towards Kuroh and pulled out the senbon needle and said,


"This as I'm sure most of you know, is a senbon neddle. This is one of te many tools used by Anbu Members. They are not very big threats unless the person throwing them has presise accuracy. As you saw I just hit one of Kuroh's pressure points. That pressure point, may have paralzed him, but if I wanted to, I could have kill him instantly by hitting the proper point."

Otoku then took the senbon needle twirled it, and hid it away again. He then walk to the board and started to write.

Kuroh turned towards Udemae. He had a see what you did look on his face. He looked back up to Otoku. He then looked at the board to see what he was writing.

Otoku finished writing on the bpard and said,

"Alright! I want you kids to read this. Take it all in. And write it down some where. It will be coming back to you." Otou pointed to the board which read,


“The Goals of ANBU”

• Protect your Village
• Protect your village leader
• Be ready to give up your life for the beliefs of your leader
• Hunt down and kill missing nins



Otoku looked at them and said,

"There are many more. These are just the basics. Remember them well."

Kizu scratched them down in a notebook on her desk. She though she might as well take notes while she was there, her hands would be completely unoccupied otherwise. The margins were taken up by fancy designs, kunai and shuriken killing stick figures, and the name 'Otoku' traced some many times it soaked through to the next page. She rested her head in her gloved palm, leaning to the side lazily. She watched Otoku respectfully and paid attention though.

Hmm, except for that last one, aren't those the duties of every shinobi? she thought. Ah, well. I'm none to question the almighty Elite Jonin, Otoku of the legendary Mekura clan, hero of all Konoha... Her gaze dropped the the old quill pen she preferred to use in her hand. She fiddled with it a while until she noticed it and put it down hastily. She sighed and continued watching Otoku sullenly.

Ichitoru only but smirked as he leaned back in his chair. He openned his eyes to look at the board but soon after, closed his eyes again.

That's so easy to memorize that I don't even have to write it down. He thought, as he smirked.

He sighed once as he took a deep breath. He lazily raised his hand to Otoku, as he soon began to talk.

"Not to be rude, Otoku, but I think most of us already know this information or has studied before enterring this class. Do you think you can step it up in this class a little? How about pairing us off to measure our strengths and weaknesses?" He said boldy, not wanting to be rude, but to get his word out.

(Flame said to speed it up a lil, so might as well?)

Udamae staired at Kuroh with an apologetic look on her face, then suddenly stared at Otoku with an extremely angered look. Her eyes flashed to a feline's for a second, as she clenched her fist. But soon, she withdrew her anger and sat down next to Kuroh, as she suddenly took out a notebook and wrote what was written on the board.

Otoku smiled and said,

"Alright you guys thinke you're ready for the hard stuff huh. Alright, I was just going to go through the motions today, because I really didn't feel like teaching you today, but since you want to do something so bad. Ok let's go."

Otoku started to walk out the door and stood there out side. He stood there and said,

"Alright here's the deal, I'll spar each of one for 5 mins. I going to observer your skills. Then tomorrow I'k will par you up, and then the two of you wil try and take him on at full force. So who's up first."

Ichitoru got up from his seat, and with Raiyou following him, went outside as well. He went slowly, and calmly, hearing the words of Otoku, but for some reason, he didn't want to go first.

Udamae, already mad by Otoku for hurting her older brother, rushed out and quickly started to talk.

"I want to go first." She said as she raised her hand with an angered look.

She usually wasn't so careless, and thought things through, but already angered, wanted to do something. She already know she wouldn't stand a chance, and would probably last less than 5 minutes, but still thought of a strategy in her head, as it came in her head right away. She thought since the well amount of trees around the area, that she may have a small strategy, and knew that she should get the ninjutsu expert with taijutsu.

Her hand rested in her weapon pouch at her waist, as she moved some of her hair that was in her eye with her other hand.

Otoku smiled and said,

"Very well. Please step forward Udamae."

Otoku stood there with no intention of using his Eikyugan in any of this fights. He bowed and said,

"You may make the first move when ever your ready. For you're sake I hope you don't disspoint me."

Otoku then stood straight up and waited for the attack.

Udamae quickly looked Otoku up and down. Many thoughts were going through her head, mostly strategies to use and details about her opponent. She recited in her head what she had read and learned about the Mekura clan, and knew to be cautious.

Her hand receded from her weapon pouch, and her hands were filled with kunai and shuriken attached with thick wire.

I can use this technique in this match, it will do me best. She said, thinking of one of her strategies.

String Reeling Technique

In a second, she threw all of the weapons all around Otoku, to trap him on nearby trees. She even threw some on the ground in front of him, that had camoflouged paper bombs on them.

Kizu groaned slightly at hearing Otoku's instructions. Dammit, Ichitoru... You couldn't have possibly thought he'd be going easy on us. Why would you ask for more? she thought. She had followed the rest out and now pulled her Tessen from the sash holding it on her back. She knew once Otoku got into his combat mindset he would be too immersed in battle to remember it was just a test. She planned to go next if no one else beat her to it. Thinking back over all the time she had known Otoku, she found it hard to recall a time when she had a good straight spar with him.
